DESCRIPTION: The Hydrobiological Station of Port of Quequén is a research institute and museum that depends on the Argentine Museum of Natural Sciences “Bernardino Rivadavia” of the city of Buenos Aires, located in the town of Quequén, Buenos Aires. It was founded to promote scientific research of the marine ecosystem, as well as to disseminate information about the regional fauna, mainly marine, and to collaborate in the training of human resources specialized in marine sciences.
OBJECTIVES: It was founded to promote scientific research on the marine ecosystem, as well as disseminating the regional fauna, mainly marine, and collaborating in the training of human resources specialized in marine sciences. It accepts visits from students and professionals who wish to carry out studies related to its objectives. The requirements are to have a project aligned with these objectives and to have funds to cover the costs of using the laboratory and housing facilities.
